What made Northern Lights particularly unique was its ability to remain a pure indica for many years. Eventually, some breeders introduced a bit of Thai sativa genetics into the strain, giving rise to occasional sativa phenotypes, which brought about new traits like a fruity flavor profile and an enhanced cerebral high.
